There's always a first
This is the tenth shutter on this camera, and the nine before it were just test shots. Fiddling with settings, figuring out which dial does what, pointing it at whatever was in front of me.
I bought it used, commute back, along the way this picture happen. Hundreds of shutter after, and it’s still one of my favourite shot. A suitcase, a shopping bag, and a poster she couldn’t stop looking at. I don’t know her story, She was looking at the poster like it was the beginning of something. I get it. A few days ago, I was looking at a camera box the same way.
Years of borrowed cameras. One that got sold before I really got to know it. So technically, this is my first camera, and technically, this is my first shot with it. I can’t wait to see what other firsts this camera brings. After all, there’s always a first.
